Description — 30 volumes, 4to (29.7 x 20.5 x 4.5 cm for the lot), 20 p. each (except 1 with 24 p. and 1 with 40 p.), stapled, color pict. softcover, b&w pictures, text in Japanese.
Condition — Good (unusually fine condition most likely due to the fact that all but one volume must have been stored by the original owner in a level-arch type of binder: two holes near the spines).
Review — A fine set of 30 issues of the Japanese war propaganda weekly photo magazine Shashin Shuuhou, that was published between 1938 and 1945: striking color covers and many hundreds of b&w pictures depicting the war effort of the military and the civilians, at the front and in their daily lives, by HAYASHI Tadahiko, DOMON Ken, IRIE Taikichi, UMEMOTO Tadao, KOISHI Kiyoshi, NAGATA Isshu.. Rather uncommon.
