Review — The fourth issue of the quality quarterly Shashin Eizo / Photo Image, an outstanding avant-garde photography & critic laboratory, featuring the continuation of the Embrace series, stylish & abstract b&w nudes, started in the first issue of the magazine, by HOSOE Eikoh (that became the fine Embrace series), Young Contemporaries (fine contrasted b&w in the spirit of the time), 'Top Landscapes '70' by a collective led by KANESAKA Kenji, MORITA Ichiro and UCHIDA Kanta (very provocative title given the powerful contrasted material, far from traditional landscape), KANOH Noriaki (suggestive erotic are-bure-boke), MAD AMANO (thoughtful War & Peace: SOS dynamic photo compositions), etc. An excellent issue.
