Remarques & avis / Review — The very original, beautiful and well-made 'inubo' Karuta game designed by the famous illustrator and printmaker SEGAWA Yasuo (1932-2010, [jp] [en]).
Divers / Misc. — This game had several reprints. Its illustrations were adapted from a series published in magazine. In their turn, they adapted into a children's book in 1994.
The 'inubo' karuta games are thus called simply because the first card illustrates the proverb 'Inu mo arukeba bou ni ataru'. Also called 'Kamigata' (Kyoto / Kansai), they feature a different set of proverbs and sayings from the regular 'Edo' (Tokyo) Iroha.
