Remarques & avis / Review — A fine selection showing, for the most part, some of HAMAYA Hisroshi's now lesser-known photographs depicting Japanese people (and one foreigner violonist) throughout Japan: children, farmers, artists, from desolate and remote countrysides to modern Tokyo (1930s-1950s). Incidentally, includes Hamaya's best known picture from Yukiguni (walk in the snow) in a larger size than in the original book.
