Remarques & avis / Review — Kohei YOSHIYUKI (1946-)'s great social photo-documentary on known, public, anonymous heterosexual and gay sex and voyeurism in Shinjuku, Yoyogi and Aoyama parks in Tokyo in the late 1970s, taken using infrared flash. The third part of the book captures images of a video playing on a TV set in a 'love hotel' (another very Japanese institution) and gives off an interesting abstraction effect. A well-crafted book, great gravure printing with very deep blacks. The making-of was detailed afterwards in Yoshiyuki's Yoru no Koen and Secret Shashin-jutsu.
L'excellent photo-documentaire social de YOSHIYUKI Kouhei (1946-), sur le voyeurisme et les pratiques sexuelles connues, publiques et anonymes, hétéro et gay, dans les parcs de Shinjuku, Yoyogi et Aoyama à Tokyo à la fin des années 1970, pris au flash infrarouge. La troisième partie du livre présente des clichés d'une vidéo passant à la télé dans un "love hotel" (une autre institution très japonaise), avec un intéressant effet d'abstraction. Un ouvrage bien fini, excellente impression aux noirs profonds. L'arrière-scène sera détaillée par la suite dans Yoru no Koen et Secret Shashin-jutsu.
